Agreement to Terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the website at herohousecleaning.com (the "Site") and the services provided by Hero House Cleaning LLC ("we," "us," or "our").

By accessing the Site or using our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not access or use the Site or our services.

Description of Services

Hero House Cleaning LLC is a residential cleaning referral agency that connects clients with independent cleaning professionals in the greater Knoxville, Tennessee area. Our services include coordinating deep cleaning, recurring cleaning, move-in/out cleaning, Airbnb and vacation rental turnover cleaning, and commercial cleaning.

Important: Hero House Cleaning LLC is not the employer of the cleaning professionals who perform services. Cleaners are independent contractors who operate their own businesses. We vet, refer, and coordinate, but we do not directly employ or supervise the cleaning professionals.

Booking & Scheduling

You may request cleaning services through our online booking system, quote widget, contact form, phone, or chat. When you submit a booking request, we will confirm your appointment details, including the date, time, and scope of services.

Quotes provided through our Site are estimates based on the information you provide. Final pricing may vary based on the actual condition and size of the property (see "Pricing & Payment" below).

We will make reasonable efforts to accommodate your preferred scheduling. However, availability is subject to the schedules of our independent cleaning professionals.

Pricing & Payment

All quotes are estimates and may be adjusted based on the actual condition of the property, additional requests, or circumstances discovered upon arrival (such as excessive clutter, pet hair, or undisclosed square footage). If a price adjustment is necessary, we will communicate the revised pricing before proceeding.

We accept the following payment methods:

  • Cash
  • Credit Card
  • Debit Card
  • Venmo
  • Zelle

Payment is due upon completion of the cleaning service unless other arrangements have been made in advance.

Satisfaction Guarantee

We stand behind the quality of the cleaning professionals we refer. If you are not satisfied with the cleaning service, you must notify us within 24 hours of the completed service.

Upon receiving your notification, we will arrange for a cleaner to return and address the specific areas of concern at no additional cost. This guarantee applies to the quality of the cleaning performed and does not cover issues unrelated to the cleaning service itself.

Independent Contractor Relationship

The cleaning professionals referred through Hero House Cleaning are independent contractors, not employees of Hero House Cleaning LLC. As a referral agency, we:

  • Vet and screen cleaning professionals before referring them
  • Coordinate scheduling and communication between clients and cleaners
  • Facilitate payment and handle customer service inquiries

We do not control the manner, method, or means by which cleaning professionals perform their work. The independent contractors are solely responsible for their own tools, supplies, transportation, taxes, and insurance.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Hero House Cleaning LLC shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, or other intangible losses, arising out of or in connection with your use of our Site or services.

In no event shall our total liability to you for all claims arising from or related to our services exceed the amount you paid for the specific cleaning service giving rise to the claim.

Property Access & Responsibility

As a client, you are responsible for:

  • Providing safe and reasonable access to the property to be cleaned
  • Securing valuables, fragile items, jewelry, cash, and irreplaceable belongings before the cleaning appointment
  • Securing or making arrangements for pets during the cleaning
  • Disclosing any known hazards, such as structural issues, pest infestations, hazardous materials, or aggressive animals

Hero House Cleaning LLC is not responsible for damage to items that are improperly secured, inherently fragile, or not disclosed prior to the appointment.

Damages & Insurance

Hero House Cleaning LLC carries general liability insurance. In the unlikely event that damage occurs during a cleaning appointment, please follow these steps:

  1. Report the damage to us within 48 hours of the cleaning appointment
  2. Provide photographs and a description of the damage
  3. We will investigate the claim and work with you to reach a fair resolution

Claims submitted after 48 hours may not be eligible for coverage. We are not responsible for pre-existing damage or normal wear and tear.

Cancellation Policy

We require at least 24 hours' notice for cancellations or rescheduling. You may cancel or reschedule by contacting us by phone, email, or through our Site.

Late cancellations (less than 24 hours before your scheduled appointment) may be subject to a cancellation fee. This fee compensates the independent cleaning professional who reserved time for your appointment.

User Accounts

Certain features of our Site may require you to create an account. If you create an account, you are responsible for:

  • Maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials
  • All activities that occur under your account
  • Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or are used for unauthorized purposes.

Intellectual Property

All content on the Site, including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, photographs, images, and software, is the property of Hero House Cleaning LLC or its content suppliers and is protected by United States copyright and trademark laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, or create derivative works from any content on this Site without our prior written consent.

Prohibited Use

You agree not to use the Site or our services for any unlawful or prohibited purpose. Without limitation, you may not:

  • Use the Site in any way that could damage, disable, or impair the Site
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any portion of the Site, accounts, or systems
  • Use any automated system, including bots, scrapers, or spiders, to access the Site without our express written permission
  • Submit false, misleading, or fraudulent information through the Site
  • Use the Site to harass, threaten, or harm others

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Hero House Cleaning LLC, its owners, officers, employees, agents, and affiliates from and against any and all claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or related to your use of the Site or services, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any rights of a third party.

Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Tennessee, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Site or services shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in Knox County, Tennessee.

Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable by a court of competent jurisdiction, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect. The invalid or unenforceable provision shall be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it valid and enforceable.

Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to update or modify these Terms at any time. When we make changes, we will update the "Effective Date" at the top of this page. Your continued use of the Site or services after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms. We encourage you to review these Terms periodically.
